Do you offer any other event staff
besides Bartenders?
Yes, we can also provide Barbacks,
Bar and/or Event Captains, Cocktail Servers, and Promotional Models.
Are all your pictures current?
Yes, the pictures on the website are all current Yummy Bartenders staff, and
all pictures were taken within the last few years.
Do you have more staff than is shown on the website?
Yes, we have a lot more staff... however not all of our staff have professional
photos/headshots.
Can we pick
bartenders from their
pictures on the website?
You can definitely put in a request for specific bartenders... however, we
cannot guarantee that they will be available for a particular event. We do
however guarantee that you will always receive very attractive,
experienced, and courteous staff any time you use Yummy Bartenders. We suggest
that you pick a few bartenders in order of preference and we will definitely try
to get you one of those on your list.
When should we call to
reserve the staff for our event?
While we are occasionally able to meet last minute requests by our clients,
it is definitely not advised. We generally suggest that you call at least a week
or two before your event to reserve the staff you'll need. Please keep in mind,
our staff usually gets booked on events weeks if not months in advance, so the
sooner you contact us for your event the better your chances of getting the
staff that you need.
How many bartenders, barbacks, servers,
and captains will I
need?
Well, our general rule is that when dealing with a pretty simple bar (beer,
wine, mixed drinks) we would suggest that you have 1 bartender for every
75 guests. However if you are dealing with a lot of martinis or blended
drinks which take more time to make, you may want to get 2 bartenders for the
same amount of people.
If you are planning to
book four or more staff for an event, a Bar and/or Event Captain is pretty much
a necessity. It's the captain's job to understand, organize, and
plan how to run the event most efficiently. A
captain manages the staff, delegates responsibilities, and acts as a liaison
between the client and the event staff. Without
an experienced Bar and/or Event Captain, large-scale events can get out of
control very quickly.
Your party might need a barback when there is glassware being served at the
event and definitely when there are two or more bartenders
working the event. The barback is a very crucial staff member for special events.
They are in charge of keeping everything at the bar and around the party clean
and running smoothly. Their duties include bussing glasses and plates, throwing
away trash and changing
garbage liners, refilling ice, replenishing glasses, beer/wine/soda, etc.
As for servers, it really all depends on what type of party you're having, what
type of food and drinks you'll be serving, and how much service you'd like.
Let's say you're having passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks for 50-75 people, in
that case you should probably have have 1-2 servers passing food/maintaining the buffet and
1 cocktail server passing drinks and/or taking drink orders.
What do the bartenders bring with them?
Our bartenders are responsible for bringing:
martini shakers and strainers, liquor pourers, ice scoop, wine key, bottle
opener, cutting board and knife, professional service as well as a great
attitude.
What does your staff wear?
For most events our staff comes dressed in all black, attractive, stylish,
dressy casual attire.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards including Visa, Master Card, American
Express, and Discover.
Do you do events in Orange County or Ventura County?
Unfortunately we currently don't. Please check back though in the future as
we are working on adding our services to other locations outside of Los Angeles
County.
Are you currently
hiring?
Unfortunately we are not currently hiring at the moment. But, we always encourage
prospective staff to send in a resume and a couple of pictures to the e-mail
address on the website. When things get busier or we lose staff, we will
generally look through those resumes and call people
in for interviews.
